Aminah Robinson was an artist who focused on themes of African spirits and humanity through her work. Her art took many forms, from drawings and sculpture to meticulously adorned fabrics. Robinson attended the Columbus Art School and The Ohio State University. In 1990, she was the first living artist to have a solo show at the Columbus Museum of Art. She was also a MacArthur Genius Fellow.
