Columbus-based artist Chris Mercerhill is a quilter who sews together photographs.

Columbus-based artist Chris Mercerhill is a quilter. But instead of using traditional fabric, he sews together photographs – ones that often feature iconic Columbus landmarks. His geometric technique and use of the Ohio Star quilting pattern result in a kaleidoscopic piece of art that compels the viewer to step a little closer to identify the pattern, the stitches and the landscape of Ohio.
