The teenage members of Stems describe their sound as "prog-hop."

The teenage members of Stems describe their sound as “prog-hop” – a fusion of progressive rock and hip-hop, with some elements of jazz thrown in. Having formed as part of a high-school project, the group is still making music together as they start to pursue post-high school paths. Featuring Kendall Martin (vocals), Mickey Shuman (guitar), Dante Montoto (bass) and Zach Pennington (drums).
