Weinland Park Billboard Project

An new billboard in Weinland Park is designed to instill some community pride.

The billboard looming high over the corner of North Fourth Street and East Fifth Avenue serves as a welcome sign to the Weinland Park neighborhood. And it typically boasts advertisements for liquor. But over the last several months, local artists met with neighborhood children on a project designed to “take back” the billboard and reclaim some community pride.
