How do we cohesively combine these two factors in a way for people to have a more transformative experience as they are looking at these men?
In China, for men to have marriage and also to have their own children is deeply ingrained as a cultural expectation.
The reason behind that experience of trauma they share collectively is nothing of their fault.
It's really what a society built for them, and it's a policy.
It's the socioeconomic status that has long defined their fate.
Particularly in China, for women it's very easy to judge these men as failures.
Once they see their vulnerabilities and what they're able to share, I hope they can come to appreciate more about where these men come from, and have a better understanding of how they can have a more meaningful conversation with these men.
